Description

The M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure turns an M.2 NVMe drive into portable external storage. The USB-C 10Gbps interface suits fast drives — for transferring files, backups, and video and photo material.

The transparent body gives it a modern look, and the installed drive is secured with a single screw — slide the cover, insert the drive into the slot, fasten it and close the cover.

A B+M Key SATA drive looks similar to an NVMe drive. To tell them apart, check the label on the SSD: NVMe / PCIe works, SATA does not.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Will an M.2 SATA SSD fit this enclosure?

No. The enclosure only works with M.2 NVMe (PCIe) drives. A B+M Key SATA drive looks similar to an NVMe drive and physically fits, but it will not work. Check the label on the drive: NVMe/PCIe works, SATA does not.

Will a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD fit?

No, this enclosure is only for M.2 NVMe drives. For 2.5" SATA drives we have separate 2.5" HDD/SSD enclosures.

What size of M.2 SSD fits?

M.2 NVMe drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 sizes (M-Key and B+M Key).

What speed will I get?

The interface maximum is 10Gbps (USB-C). Real speed depends on your SSD and your computer's port — on a USB 2.0 or older port the speed will be much lower.

Why doesn't my computer see a new SSD?

A new, unused SSD must first be initialized and formatted (in Windows: Disk Management). This is normal for any new drive and is not an enclosure defect.

Is the SSD included?

No, only the enclosure and the cable are included. The SSD must be purchased separately.
