❓ Frequently asked questions
Which app should I use on iPhone?
Car Scanner ELM OBD2 (free on the App Store) or OBD Fusion. First connect your iPhone to the scanner's WiFi network in Settings → WiFi, then open the app.
Will it work on my car?
Most cars built after 1996 use the OBD2 standard. If you want us to confirm, message us your car's make, model and year on WhatsApp.
Will it turn off the Check Engine light?
Yes — after the trouble codes are cleared the light goes off. The scanner clears the code, not the underlying problem; if the fault remains, the light will come back.
What is the difference from a Bluetooth scanner?
WiFi scanners work on iPhone. Classic Bluetooth ELM327 scanners generally work on Android and Windows only, not on iPhone.
